Through the Trade-Impacted Communities Program, municipalities and local industry associations in Ontario can get support to navigate economic challenges caused by the US trade disruption.
TICP is designed to support local projects that align with Ontario’s key economic priorities, including:
- Economic resiliency: Projects that strengthen competitiveness and build local opportunities for economic growth.
- Supply-chain diversification: Projects that support Ontario’s strategic priority sectors and their supply chains, including advanced manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, technology, critical minerals, forestry, and agri-food.
- Trade partnerships: Projects that increase export and investment to reduce reliance on U.S. markets.
As we build a stronger, more resilient economy, Ontario’s Trade-Impacted Communities Program will help local municipalities, associations, and incubators navigate and overcome trade challenges.
