Ontario Trillium Foundation Supports Cornerstone to Recovery’s Pathways Program

$90,500 OTF Seed Grant from the Ontario Government going to Pathways, a program that Empowers Recovery Through Employment and Life Skills
Newmarket, ON – On Friday, MPP Dawn Gallagher Murphy met with the team at Cornerstone to Recovery to congratulate the group on recently receiving a $90,500 Seed grant from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). The grant will be used for Cornerstone to Recovery’s five-week Pathways program that supports individuals affected by addiction, helping them develop skills and confidence for long-term recovery and self-sufficiency.
“This investment reflects our government’s commitment to breaking down barriers to recovery,” said Dawn Gallagher Murphy, MPP for Newmarket–Aurora. “Ontario’s investment of $90,500 through the Ontario Trillium Foundation Seed grant program will help Cornerstone to Recovery equip individuals with the skills and confidence needed to reclaim their social and economic independence. Together, we are fostering a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
Pathways offers services in employment preparation, life skills development, and personal growth, empowering participants to reintegrate into the workforce, pursue education, and engage with their communities. It’s designed to reduce the social and economic impacts of addiction, providing participants with the necessary resources to thrive and reintegrate into society. The Seed grant will be used to implement the Pathways Program, supporting individuals affected by addiction. Funding facilitated employment preparation workshops, life skills training, and personal growth activities, while also enabling the recruitment of qualified staff and resources to help participants reintegrate into the workforce and engage with their communities.
