Eurospec Manufacturing’s project will support over 175 good-paying jobs and strengthen the province’s automotive supply chain
NEWMARKET — The Ontario government is welcoming a $307,714 investment by Eurospec Manufacturing to upgrade production infrastructure at their Newmarket facility. The project will support over 175 good-paying jobs in Newmarket and strengthen competitiveness in Ontario’s automotive supply chain. In support of this investment, Ontario is providing $150,000 in funding through the Ontario Automotive Modernization Program (O-AMP).
“Our government is proud to support strategic investments that help modernize Ontario’s automotive supply chain and protect local jobs. Eurospec Manufacturing is a strong example of the innovation and excellence that defines our region’s manufacturing sector,” said, Dawn Gallagher Murphy, Member of Provincial Parliament for Newmarket—Aurora. “This project will not only enhance efficiency, but also support workers, families, and our local economy here in Newmarket—ensuring Ontario remains competitive at home and on the global stage.”
Founded in 1985, Eurospec Manufacturing provides stamping, assembly, and complex tooling services to Tier-1 automotive suppliers and OEMs across North America and global markets. Through this investment, Eurospec Manufacturing will install advanced data-tracking hardware to support a modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The project will automate production monitoring, streamline inventory management, increase real-time visibility on the factory floor, and help identify production bottlenecks more effectively. These improvements will also reduce manual processes, enhance forecasting accuracy, and boost the company’s capacity to respond to domestic and international customer demand quickly and efficiently.
“This funding is a significant step forward for our automation modernization efforts.” said, Nancy Kirkpatrick, Chief Financial Officer of Eurospec Manufacturing. “With this support, we can accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies, improve production capabilities, and position our company to meet the future demands of the automotive industry. We appreciate the government’s commitment to strengthening domestic manufacturing and innovation,” said {insert name of representative}.
First launched in 2019, O-AMP supports small and medium sized manufacturers modernize operations, improve productivity, and adapt to the evolving needs of the global automotive supply chain, while protecting jobs and keeping production right here at home. Since its inception, O-AMP has supported 243 projects, created over 1,100 jobs, retained nearly 18,000 jobs, and leveraged over $67 million in private-sector investments.
“Employing over 800,000 workers across the province, Ontario’s manufacturing sector is a driving force behind the province’s economic strength and global competitiveness,” said Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “Through the Ontario Automotive Modernization Program, our government is ensuring local automotive manufacturers are equipped with the tools needed to remain resilient, adapt to shifting sector priorities, and create good-paying jobs.”
As Ontario continues to confront global economic pressures, including the impact of rising U.S. tariffs on automotive tooling, the government is taking decisive action to protect workers and ensure that businesses have the tools they need to grow, innovate and compete.
