Ontario Expanding Self-Serve Online Vehicle Registration
July 12, 2023
Our government is cutting red tape and making it quicker and easier for Ontarians to buy and sell vehicles by expanding the online Digital Dealership Registration (DDR) system to include used cars. Now, new and used vehicle sales can be registered online by dealerships participating in Digital Dealership Registration.
With the expansion of self-serve online vehicle registration, car dealerships and their customers across Ontario will be able to instantly benefit from Digital Dealership Registration (DDR).
By implementing DDR we are saving businesses time and money and making it easier to buy a car right here in our province.
Ontario has over 8,000 new and used car dealerships. Dealerships can use DDR, an online, self-serve tool to register vehicles and issue permits and plates directly to customers, right from the sales floor.
DDR digitizes the vehicle registration process, cuts red tape for businesses, reduces paperwork, and saves time and money.
