Ontario Expanding Learn and Stay Grant to Train More Health Care Workers

The government is expanding the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant beyond nursing, to include paramedic and medical laboratory technologist programs in priority communities.

The Learn and Stay Grant supports postsecondary students who enroll in select programs in growing and underserved communities, and continue to work in those communities for a period of time after they graduate.

Eligible students will receive full, upfront funding for tuition, books and other direct educational costs. Grant applications for the 2023-24 academic year open this spring.

This bold initiative will add more health care professionals in rural and remote communities, helping to ensure Ontarians – in every corner of the province – have access to high quality care, closer to home.
