Ontario Building New and Upgraded Sports and Recreation Facilities

We’re helping to build a better Ontario by investing $200 million in a new Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund, to provide Ontarians with the opportunity to live, work and play in their community.

Ontario’s new Community Sport and Recreation Fund will transform and expand recreational facilities across the province.

Not only will Ontarians benefit from better access to places to play, modern sport and recreation facilities will allow communities to host provincial, national and international events and competitions, attracting more visitors and good-paying jobs.

Applicants will include municipalities, not-for-profit organizations, Indigenous communities and for-profit organizations operating or managing a sport, recreation or community space/facility that supports this programming.

Investing in new and improved sport and recreation facilities through the 2024 Budget: Building a Better Ontario will continue to support the province’s growing population and help foster healthier and more active lifestyles for families.
