Building Ontario’s Clean Energy Advantage
Building Ontario’s Clean Energy Advantage
As environmental and sustainability goals increasingly influence where businesses decide to invest and grow, this government is leveraging the province’s world-class clean electricity grid by launching a Clean Energy Credit (CEC) registry to boost competitiveness, attract jobs, and build Ontario’s economy.
This registry will be one more advantage along with our expert work force, competitive tax credits and a world class research and development ecosystem that makes Ontario a top destination for manufacturing investment.
Global businesses are looking to expand in jurisdictions with clean and cost-effective electricity, and our clean energy credit registry will help us compete and attract more major investments in Ontario’s economy.
Proceeds from CEC sales will go to the Future Clean Electricity Fund (FCEF), to help build new clean energy projects in the province.
That will mean supporting electrification, keeping energy costs down and delivering value to Ontarians.
