Bill 65: Honouring our Veterans, An Act to Amend the Remembrance Week Act

A public hearing on the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs regarding Bill 65.

Bill 65 is an important step to in our continued efforts to acknowledge appreciate the sacrifices that our veterans made for our country.

This Bill will require members of the Legislative Assembly, on the last sessional day before Remembrance Day in each year, to pause and observe two minutes of silence in honour of those who died serving their country in wars and in peacekeeping efforts. Members will also be allowed to make speeches.

The Legislature of Ontario will always stand, visibly and united, in recognizing the women and men who have served Canada.
