Advancing Research and Innovation in Ontario’s Poultry Sector
The government, the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario (ARIO), and the four poultry industry boards have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to invest in the construction of a new Ontario Poultry Research Centre in Elora.
This facility will support poultry producers and help drive Ontario’s competitive advantage, enable the implementation of new technologies and best practices and provide insight to support long-term sustainability in the research and innovation of agri-food products and technologies.
This investment builds on many actions outlined in the Grow Ontario Strategy to support the resiliency of Ontario’s agri-food supply and foster competitiveness and sustainability while creating jobs, growing the economy and ensuring supply chain security.
